Jonathan was selected and participated in the Asian Youth Orchestra (AYO) 2010, where he performed in China, Hong Kong, Korea and Japan. In July 2011, he was offered a full scholarship to represent Singapore in the Kirishima Music Festival in Japan. Locally, since switching from the violin to the viola in June 2009, Jonathan has been highly sought after by various orchestras in Singapore. He has performed on viola with the Singapore Festival Orchestra, The Philharmonic Orchestra and is a member of the NUS Symphony Orchestra and the Orchestra of the Music Makers. In 2009, he was chosen to be the principal violist at the ChildAid Orchestra. In addition he has also performed as a violinist with the Singapore National Youth Orchestra and NUS Symphony Orchestra.

A graduate of Raffles Junior College and St Joseph’s Institution, he scored 4 distinctions at the GCE ‘A’ Level examinations including a distinction as a Music Elective Programme student. He also obtained his Licentiate Diploma from Trinity College London (LTCL) with distinction on the violin. In recognition for his achievements as a leader and academic excellence, Jonathan was also a recipient of the EAGLES award, twice recipient of the Edusave for Independent Schools Yearly Award (EISYA).

Jonathan hopes to reach out especially in his native country Singapore to communicate that music is about life through performances and educational settings. His love for God and music brought him freelance performances in various Catholic Church Ministries in Singapore.
