Wen Jin started learning the violin at the age of 7, and holds a Diploma in Violin Performance awarded by the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music. Wen Jin has amassed a great deal of performance experience, having played in numerous concerts and functions with various groups. He currently performs with re:mix, and is the Manager of Resonance Quartet.
In his school days, Wen Jin was a member of the Singapore National Youth Orchestra, and led the Singapore Management University Obligato and Dunman High School String Ensemble as their Music Leader. He was also the Student Conductor with the Raffles Junior College Chamber Ensemble.
Wen Jin is also interested in music composition, having premiered his works with the Raffles Junior College Chamber Ensemble, the Dunman High School String Ensemble, and particularly with the Singapore Management University Obligato on several concerts. His compositions won 2nd prize at the Artsquest Nation-wide music/song writing competition in 2006, and 3rd prizes at the Singapore National Youth Orchestra Composition Competitions for 2005 and 2006.
In his free time, Wen Jin teaches the violin and music theory, and also sits in silence for composition inspiration.
Working with the Resonance Quartet has been extremely fun for Wen Jin, and he hopes to share this love for music and life with more people.
