Resonance Quartet had the honour of performing during the dinner of the President’s Challenge Thank You Reception held at the Istana in August this year, with former President Mr. S R Nathan gracing the occasion. It was a pleasure performing for an appreciative audience who came forth to speak with us at the end of the event.

A testimonial from Karen Bartholomeusz, Manager, Ministry of Community Development, Youth and Sports:

Thanks to the quartet for the beautiful music on Tues evening. It was well-received by the guests.

Team Synergy engaged the Resonance Quartet to play for the launch of Citroen’s C5, over 2 days at its Alexandra showroom. Visitors were treated to a visual feast of the magnificent cars and a chic showroom, a gastronomic feast in the form of a spread of delectable snacks, and not forgetting, an aural feast of light string music.

Comment from Catherine of Team Synergy:

Your music is beautiful. Keep it up. I’ll recommend you for my other events too. Thanks again. :)

Very nice of Catherine to send us a video of our performance!

CityNeon, the event organiser, engaged us to perform some pieces on stage for residents attending the event and to welcome Minister Mah Bow Tan who was gracing the event. We played the uplifting Por Una Cabeza for the Minister’s arrival before relocating to an adjacent area to play a second set for the lunch reception.

Grateful to Andrea from CityNeon for providing us with these pictures:

Honav Appreciation Dinner on 16 August 2010.

This is a corporate event by Honav at the Asian Civilisations Museum, the official product licensee for the Olympic Games and the Youth Olympic Games. This appreciation dinner was to thank the whole team for the success of the product sales in the recent Youth Olympic Games held in Singapore. While the guests partook in a sumptuous spread of buffet, we provided soothing music to complement the colonial facade.

As Jay was in Austria and Simeon in America, we got Zabrina and Christoven to fill in.

String Quartet for Private Birthday Party

12 July 2010: Alana wanted to celebrate her son’s first birthday and his progress with hearing aids – how else better to do so than with live string music? :)

We played to an audience of mothers and little children, a mix of classical, jazz, tango and broadway, and ended it off with a Happy Birthday song with everyone singing along. It was heartwarming to see the cute birthday boy break out into a smile and clap when we finished.

An email from Alana later in the day: “thanks so much for today. Can you send me your standard marketing materials and i will email to my friends -everyone thought you were fabulous. Thanks again, you made the day special.”

We are very happy to have been able to share our music with everyone, especially the kids, too!
